how to make a signature:
Hover over your username at the top of the screen in the green toolbar. Then, when the options pop up, click on settings. once you're on the settings page you should see "Comment Signature" and a text box underneath it. Type whatever you'd like in that box, click save, and it should become your signature

How to set a image as an avatar:
go to your profile page and hover over your current icon picture. you'll see a little pencil pop up, click that then upload the image you want as your new icon, easy!}
